Disability Rights UK

Disability Rights UK (DR UK) is the leading user-led national pan-disability charity. They describe themselves as ‘disabled people leading change’. 90% of their trustees have lived experience of disability, as do the majority of their staff. DR UK runs various helplines, produces free factsheets and its website attracts more than one million visitors each year.

DR UK works extensively with both the private and public sector to promote and create inclusive environments, products and services. In the past 12 months it has worked with Adidas, Lloyds, Penguin Group, South West Rail and Premier Inn on customer experience and employment initiatives.

DR UK has extensive experience of providing disability equality training. It trains staff at all levels including HR managers and those in customer-facing roles. It has provided Disability Confidence training (both off-the-shelf and highly bespoke models) to organisations including Footlocker, Johnson & Johnson, Zurich Insurance, National Grid and Kier Group. They are the training organisation of choice to other disability and equality focused organisations such as Scope, Stonewall, the Fawcett Society and the Quakers.
